Time For An Update

Boy, it's been awhile since I've last posted something...we have been busy with sports and school. Curtis is playing t-ball for the Hot Rods and Lauren is playing soccer for the Flames. It's been fun watching them play and learning new skills! They are half way through the season and they want to switch for next season with Curtis playing soccer and Lauren playing t-ball. So we may have both playing soccer in the fall. We just got Lauren registered for kindergarten, so she is super excited to be starting school in the fall! I'm looking forward to spending some one-on-one time with Claire. Speaking of Claire...can you believe she is going to be three in a few weeks! I've been busy trying to figure out what to do for her birthday. She finally decided that she wanted a Tinkerbell cake, so I will be making a Tinkerbell cake that's peanut butter chocolate chip (she loves peanut butter)! Curtis and Claire have also transitioned to bigger beds with Curtis moving to a twin bed and Claire moving into Curtis' toddler bed. They have both transitioned very well which surprised us because Claire had a major meltdown when Kevin was taking her crib apart. Claire is also in the process of potty training herself! We have been working on it, but she wasn't too interested until last week then something just clicked and she will tell us she needs to go potty and go sit herself on the toilet and go!

In other news, Kevin got a call from our pastor last week saying that he was recommended for our church's leadership class, so he will be starting that this summer. Also, the business is finally getting up and running. As of May first, Kevin will be a business owner and working again! The Lord has really blessed us this past month. It has been awsome to watch God put the pieces together.

I stay busy with house work and getting Lauren ready for kindergarten. I've also got little projects going here and there. I made a dress for Tony's daughter for a wedding and now I'm working on some pj's for Curtis. I'm also going to be an aunt at the end of the year! My brother and his wife are expecting their first child in November.

Well, that's where we are at, so now it's time for pictures!

Lauren got this shirt at her kindergarten screening and she had to wear it as soon as we got home!

Claire loves her new bed. She has transitioned the best out of all three!

Curtis also lost his first tooth! He has another one loose, so it won't be too long before it comes out.

Curtis and his new bed that he helped sand down and refinish!

The kids at the annual easter egg hunt. They had so much fun!

Curtis, our t-ball superstar!

The Lion And The Lamb

Who is He? The mightiest of all

Who is He? Creation trembles at his call

Who is He? The lowly sacrifice, who paid a victims price.

His name is Jesus

Jesus...From the Father's own right hand,

Jesus...Son of God and son of man

Jesus...Who died and rose again

Jesus...He's the Lion and the Lamb

Who is He? With the power none can tame

Who is He? That every foe would fear His name

Who is He? Who was humbly led away,

to suffer that dark day.

His name is Jesus

He's the Lamb that was slain,

He's the Lion that reigns,

My Savior and King both the same.

Who is He? With the eyes that burn like fire.

Who is He? Oh the wonder He inspires.

Who is He? Who bore the guilt and shame,

for those who'd gone astray.

His name is Jesus

Jesus...From the Father's own right hand.

Jesus...Son of God and son of man.

Jesus...Who died and rose again.

Jesus...He's the Lion and the Lamb

This is one of my favorite Crystal Lewis songsand a reminder of why we celebrate Easter. I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Thief

I am a thief, I am a murderer

Walking up this lonely hill.

What have I done? No, I don't remember.

No one knows just how I feel.

And I know that my time is coming soon.

It's been so long, oh, such a long time

Since I've lived with peace and rest.

Now I am here, my destination

I guess things work for the best.

And I know that my time is coming soon.

Who is this man? This man beside me

They call the King of the Jews.

They don't believe the He's the Messiah

But somehow, I know that it's true.

They laugh at Him in mockery

And they beat him 'til He bleeds.

And they nail Him to the rugged cross

They raise Him, they raise Him up next to me.

My time has come and I'm slowly fading.

I deserve what I receive.

Jesus when You are in Your Kingdom

Could You please, please remember me?

And He looks at me still holding on

The tears fall from His eyes

And He says I tell the truth.

Today, you will be with Me in paradise.

And I know that my time, yes, my time is coming soon.

And I know that my time, yes, my time is coming soon.

And I know Paradise, Paradise is coming soon.

This is one of my favorite Third Day songs and expresses the beauty of today so well. God loved us so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins, so that we can be with him in Paradise, forever. Remember that as you go about your business today.
